KWV was founded in 1918, the same year South Africa’s first democratically elected president, Nelson Mandela, was born. KWV Classic - a quality range

Made to the exact quality standards of KWV, the Classic Collection is our core range and offers exceptional drinking pleasure. It is crafted with extraordinary skill and dedication and reflects our vision of ‘fresh consistency’ to deliver a range which constantly offers a rewarding experience.

In South Africa, KWV has been one of the first wineries to produce single bottlings of niche varieties, like Grenache Blanc and Petit Verdot. These are available in commercially affordable offerings under our Classic Collection range, which focuses on single-cultivar wines.

KWV Classic Sauvignon Blanc

This elegant and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc shows aromas of gooseberry, passion fruit and guava. The easy drinking palate is soft, fresh and juicy with hints of green apple and chalky minerality. The wine is balanced and has a seemless finish. Great on a summers day, with salads, fish, chicken or even sushi or just on its own.
